Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is one of the most affordable cosmetic dental treatments available. A tooth-coloured composite resin material is applied to the tooth and an ultraviolet light is used to harden the material. The treatment "bonds" the material to the teeth, improving the appearance of teeth. Your dentist will then shape and sculpture the bonding material to be aesthetically pleasing. This procedure is typically used to repair discoloured, chipped, decayed teeth, to make teeth appear longer or to fill spaces between teeth.
Dental bonding can be prepared and applied in one sitting as, unlike implants and veneers, it is not produced in a laboratory and requires no anaesthetic, unless dental bonding is used to fill a cavity. It can also be used an alternative to fillings, as it produces the same outcome.
